I was expecting more drawing and less theory. I thought the last part of the session with the drawing and following the instructor was very informative along with the faces earlier in the session.

It was a very enjoyable and relaxing drawing class. Brennah was a wonderful instructor who made us feel comfortable and welcomed. We began by drawing a few gestures which was perfect. Anyone who is interested in drawing would benefit from taking this class.

Autumn Notley
Hello! I'm Autumn, an illustrator, character designer, and comic artist. I have an associates degree in graphic design from PSC, and love collaborating with others to bring creative ideas to reality. I also have experience in acrylic painting, watercolor, clay sculpting, and costume and puppet fabrication. Ever since I was around 5 years old I have loved drawing animals, and designing fantasy creatures. Nature has been a huge inspiration to me, as well as my favorite fantasy films such as The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, E.T, and The Never Ending Story. I look forward to helping new and experienced artists harness their creative ideas! Let's make something awesome!

I am a late in life artist who started painting in response to severe trauma trying all different mediums and ultimately circling back to watercolor as my favorite. I start painting with an idea, do what I know how to do, and let the water do the rest. Very loose and intuitive. Most of my watercolors have shimmer paint and a few have been touched with gold leaf (seriously). This was my 3rd floral and remains my favorite. I am self taught with some expert guidance from Elise Crawford who is a

I was introduced to acrylic fluid pouring in 2016, while recovering from surgery. I play with the different techniques and when they don't meet my expectations, I'll set them aside. Until they speak to me. I had used Aurora colors on purpose, but wasn't happy. So, I added the dark shadows on the mountain and tree trunks. It sat for about a year, and after watching a video, I painted trees, for the first time. I don't use paint brushes much, as I've always been better with the clean lines of pens

I created this painting as a celebration of the ?little things? of beauty that dwell beneath the waves. Did you know that Seahorses are found here in the Florida Panhandle, including Pensacola Beach? You may find them in the seagrass beds, in the shallow temperate waters of our area. This 12?x12? piece, crafted with oil over mixed media, captures two intricate seahorses, face to face in a dance of colors and textures that only the ocean can inspire. As they linger together in the blue

Sea Turtle nesting season will soon be upon us here on the Emerald coast. It?s an exciting time, a time when we strive to make the environment, here on the coast a conducive time for them to lay their eggs in safety.Did you know that In Hawaiian culture, sea turtles are known as the Honu or Hunu and are considered sacred beings. They are a symbol of strength, fertility, longevity, wisdom, and mana, the spiritual force in Hawaiian culture. The presence of Honu is said to bring luck and calm

I spent the summer of 2024 developing this art form. I am free-forming epoxy resin and fusing. This allows me to layer and make 3D sculptures and relief from a medium not typically suited for this purpose. At this time, I have not found anyone else who has done this with epoxy resin. It appears to be glass, but it's not.Artist Statement:Virginia Alden's artistry is a vibrant synthesis of nature and craftsmanship, where each piece is meticulously hand-formed or painted from epoxy resin. I?m passionate about the ocean and lived on it a majority of my life. I would even take my children to observe sea life, in several locations on the coast..Tide pools being one of my favorite! We could observe anemones, sea slugs, starfish and more. Years ago I applied to a school in their Marine Sciences program. I wasn?t accepted because I was a woman!Yeah and that dates me a little. The passion will never die.

In 2018, I had a stroke and forgot how to paint in watercolor. Recently I?ve been taking a few classes and reading a lot of how to books. The passing of my niece?s beloved pet, triggered me to try a realistic subject. She loves my painting and I think I did good.
