I was expecting more drawing and less theory. I thought the last part of the session with the drawing and following the instructor was very informative along with the faces earlier in the session.

It was a very enjoyable and relaxing drawing class. Brennah was a wonderful instructor who made us feel comfortable and welcomed. We began by drawing a few gestures which was perfect. Anyone who is interested in drawing would benefit from taking this class.

Title or Location: ?Thresholds?
Some moments exist at the edge of two worlds ? neither fully above nor below, neither completely still nor in motion. This is one of them.?Thresholds? began as a meditation on the lines that exist between worlds. The surface of the sea and its depths. Land and open water. Heaven and earth. The spiritual and the physical. These boundaries are everywhere, and yet they are never quite solid ? light passes through them, life moves across them, and something sacred seems to live right at the edge

Title or Location: Sheltered with His Wings
This was a pre-painting version in charcoal, on paper. It expresses my depiction of Psalm 91:4, "He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection"

Title or Location: ?Memories?
Oil/Mixed-Media. 16?x20? gallery wrapped canvas. This piece was born from a reflection on the role roses play as silent companions through the highs and lows of the human experience. While painting, I was reminded of the many times I?ve received roses from others, but also the times I have bought them for myself?specifically during difficult seasons when I needed to hold onto something beautiful to help navigate a trying moment.I believe flowers are not only a meaningful gesture of love betwe

Title or Location: Magnolia Blooms
This is a painting intertwined with two precious things in my life. The First was a Beautiful Magnolia Tree that stood on Destin Harbor for over 170 years. I hold dear so many fond memories of the docks it gave shade for. The Second, my beautiful Granddaughter Miss Magnolia. I hope her beauty and roots run deep throughout her life. As You can tell, This piece brings out my heart.

Title or Location: Authenticity
My art "Authenticity"This piece represents my journey of transformation ? a journey of becoming the truest and most authentic version of myself. It is about releasing limiting beliefs, breaking free from old patterns, and leaving behind the masks I once wore to fit expectations and seek acceptance. The act of removing the mask symbolizes letting go of the false identities that no longer serve me and embracing who I truly am.At its heart, this artwork carries a powerful message: be aut

Title or Location: My Favourite Toy
This is Marley, one of my loopy border collies. I managed to take the reference photo for this drawing in one of his quiet moments, while he was hugging his favourite toy and stopping his brother Bob from stealing it! It was a challenge drawing him on pastelmat as I'm not too experienced with it but quiete happy with how he came out! He's drawn in a mix of faber castel polychromos, caran d'ache luminance and some derwent drawing pencils.

Title or Location: Balnagask golf course
I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
